As a company that prides itself on innovation, it should come as no surprise that Nissan always has one eye on the horizon—not to mention the vehicles populating it. From regularly revamping current models like the technologically advanced sixth-generation 2019 Altima, to creating concept vehicles like the TeRRA fuel-cell SUV, Nissan constantly pushes the limit of how we travel. Read on as the crew from Go Nissan looks at the future of the Nissan vehicle lineup.
What’s New in the 2020 Nissan lineup?
While every year sees the vehicles in the Nissan lineup tweaked to offer a better driving experience, 2020 sees serious redesigns of two important models: the Titan and the Qashqai.
The 2020 Nissan Titan
An already powerful and capable truck, the redesigned Titan takes those qualities to the next level. Built with North Americans in mind, the new Titan will offer unparalleled durability and toughness, alongside Nissan’s already stellar 5 year/160,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty. A bold exterior design may be the first thing you see when looking at the new Titan, but its best-in-class power will be what leaves the most indelible mark.
The 2020 Nissan Qashqai
Redesigned inside and out, the 2020 Qashqai brings even more of the style and safety Qashqai drivers have come to know and love. With a wealth of standard safety features, led by Nissan’s full suite of Intelligent Mobility™, the new Qashqai is as at home in the city as it the country—and works just as hard during the week as it does the weekend. New features like Driver Attention Assist and Traffic Sign Recognition illuminate how forward thinking Nissan really is.
Nissan’s Concept Vehicle lineup
While there are certainly many more Nissan concept vehicles found in the minds and sketchbooks of Nissan’s designers and engineers, the next three vehicles are certainly emblematic of what Nissan wants to bring to the table (or rather, road) in the near future.
Nissan TeRRA
The Nissan TeRRA combines an eye for sustainability, with a desire for rugged off-road adventure. A fuel-cell and electric-powered powertrain gives this 4X4 a wealth of sustainable power—alongside zero emissions—while its rugged exterior combines modern and stylish design with SUV capability.
Nissan XTREM
Designed in Brazil, the EXTREM goes to great lengths—in both design and capability. An elevated ground clearance and muscular design underscore the revolutionary EXTREM’s take-no-prisoners attitude, while its overall size and profile lend credence to its sporty performance.
Nissan Titan Warrior
While the 2016 Titan XD raised the bar of what was expected from an extra-duty pickup, the Titan Warrior promises to revolutionize it! Sharp edges and strong lines are formed by the armor-like exterior of this extra tough truck. Beefed up off-road suspension and a Cummins® Turbo Diesel V8 ensure that no terrain is too wild to be tamed by the Titan Warrior.
This is just a glimpse into the future and concept vehicles being dreamt up by the innovators at Nissan. To learn more about what the future of Nissan looks like, or to just learn more about the technologically-advanced Nissans already on our lot, give us a call at Edmonton’s Go Nissan!
